Formatting Requirements and Submission Procedure for Publication

In order to be able to submit articles to the journal and track the current status of your materials, you must log in to the website as a registered user.

Submission Requirements

When submitting a manuscript to the journal, authors must confirm that it complies with all the requirements listed below. If the submitted work does not meet these requirements, the editorial office will return the materials to the authors for revision.

  • The manuscript has not been previously published and is not under consideration by another journal. If any part of the manuscript has been published previously (in full or in part), the author must provide a detailed explanation in the comments to the editor.
  • The manuscript must be submitted in .doc or .docx format. Materials in other formats are accepted only by prior agreement with the editorial office. It is recommended to use OpenOffice, LibreOffice, or Microsoft Word for manuscript preparation.
  • The list of references should be formatted according to one of the following citation styles (depending on editorial requirements or manuscript type):
  • The main text of the manuscript should be typed in 12 pt font with single line spacing. Headings and subheadings are recommended to be highlighted in bold, terms in italics. Tables and figures must be placed directly in the text at the appropriate locations. In addition, graphical materials (figures, illustrations, diagrams) should be submitted as separate files in .jpg format.
  • The manuscript must include a structured abstract. For original research articles, it must include the following sections: relevance, methods, results, discussion, conclusions. For articles written in Ukrainian, an English-language abstract is also mandatory.

How to Submit a Manuscript

The journal Psychosomatic Medicine and General Practice is a scientific periodical that accepts original research articles (randomized controlled clinical trials, observational studies, case–control studies, etc.), systematic reviews (with or without meta-analytic methods), clinical case reports, and short communications on research findings. The journal accepts scientific publications in medical disciplines as well as works devoted to clinical psychology. The journal is included in the List of Scientific Professional Publications of Ukraine in accordance with the Order of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine No. 409 dated March 17, 2020 (field — medical sciences).

Manuscripts are submitted after registration on the website via the electronic system (dashboard).

Registration is available via the following link: register. Surname, first name, and patronymic must be provided in English in accordance with transliteration rules. The name of the affiliated institution should be indicated in English according to the official spelling used by your academic or clinical institution.

By submitting an article to the journal, the authors confirm their agreement with the terms of this license.

Personal data, including names and email addresses provided by users during registration or manuscript submission on the journal website, are used exclusively for the purposes of ensuring the editorial and publishing process, as well as communication with authors, reviewers, and other participants in the publication process.

The journal guarantees that such personal data will not be shared with third parties or used for purposes other than those stated, except as required by applicable law.
