Procedure for retracting published articles

The journal follows the recommendations of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) regarding the retraction of publications.

Grounds for Retraction

  • Identification of serious errors or inaccuracies that affect the conclusions of the study

  • Plagiarism or duplicate publication

  • Data fabrication or falsification

  • Violations of research ethics

  • Improper authorship

  • Other serious breaches of publication ethics

Retraction Initiators

  • Author(s) of the article

  • Editorial board

  • Author’s affiliated institution

  • Third party (with supporting evidence)

Retraction Procedure

  1. Identification of the issue and preliminary assessment

  2. Investigation (establishment of a committee, request for explanations)

  3. Opportunity for the author(s) to respond (10–15 days)

  4. Decision by the editorial board

  5. Publication of a retraction notice

Retraction Notice Includes

  • Title and DOI of the retracted article

  • Full list of article authors

  • Date of the original publication

  • Grounds for retraction

  • Initiator of the retraction

  • Date of retraction

Technical Implementation

  • The article remains accessible with a “RETRACTED” label in both PDF and HTML versions

  • The DOI remains active and redirects to the retraction notice

  • Retraction information is transmitted to all databases in which the journal is indexed

  • A link to the retraction notice is added to the journal archive

Timeframe

The retraction process must not exceed 60 days from the moment the issue is identified.
